At NextGen Early Education, physical literacy is an integral part of our curriculum. We are committed to fostering children's movement skills, confidence, coordination, and overall physical well-being through engaging, developmentally appropriate, and purposeful activities that inspire a lifelong love of active, healthy living.

Physical literacy is woven into every child's daily experience. Through purposeful movement opportunities—including short, active transition activities throughout the day and longer, structured movement sessions—we help children develop coordination, balance, strength, confidence, and fundamental motor skills in a fun, play-based environment.
To support this commitment, NextGen features a dedicated outdoor learning space dedicated to physical literacy, where children have the opportunity to explore, stay active, and build healthy habits through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Our outdoor environment is thoughtfully designed to encourage active play, social interaction, and a lifelong appreciation for movement and overall well-being.
At NextGen, we believe physical literacy is about much more than simply being active or physically fit. It is the foundation for helping children develop the movement skills, confidence, motivation, and positive attitudes needed to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle throughout their lives.
Through intentional, play-based experiences, we foster physical competence, body awareness, coordination, and social-emotional development while encouraging curiosity, resilience, and teamwork.
Our holistic approach recognizes that physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development are deeply interconnected. By creating inclusive, engaging learning environments, we empower every child to build confidence, embrace movement, and develop lifelong habits that support their overall health, well-being, and success.
